Human Flag

Surrender is a human right. Even in front of a machine.

Can Modern Systems Recognize Surrender?

The right to surrender exists only if surrender can be recognized.

If a person is trying to surrender, who is able to recognize it?

Why Human Flag

International Humanitarian Law protects people who surrender. Yet modern warfare increasingly relies on drones, AI-assisted targeting and machine-speed decision systems. Protection begins with recognition. If surrender signals cannot be recognized, how can surrender be protected? Human Flag exists to address this question.

What we do

We promote the right to surrender, even in the age of automation. We create documents, ethical codes, and recognition protocols. We raise awareness among institutions and the public, and we defend human dignity in times of war.

How we act

We created an official association, wrote a statute, launched this website, and published a manifesto. We contact organizations, build networks, and invite everyone to participate: share, speak, resist. The first step is to raise the flag.
